I attempted to buy pants this weekend. I've been getting fed up with my pants being too big or worn out. I knew what I wanted- basic khakis, a little bit loose in the leg, short inseams. Fairly straightforward, right?
WRONG.
The only place i could get to on he bus was Old Navy. I have a question for Old Navy: why must everything you make be LOW RISE? Low rise pants do not, I repeat DO NOT, look good on us larger women Especially those of us, like me, who have very round butts. I did find some normal-wasit pants, but they were fall-weight, real office pants. Not what I need right now.
I tried on 10 pairs of pants. If you know me, you also know that this is a record for me. Usually I grab a couple things, try them on, then buy/ not buy what I like. I like shopping, I just like to be efficient at it.
I'm hoping that next weekend, I'll be able to find something at Lane Bryant. Because while I'm a biology grad student, looking like a total scrub is getting old. And holey.
