Happy New Year!
Albeit, a smidge belated. This not having internet in my apartment, and having to come into work to abuse said internet, is really starting to chap my ass. However, my internet connection at home should be live on Tuesday.

So, 2008! Could you have been anymore bipolar? Honest to Betsy. It really was one of those years of extreme highs and extreme lows, for myself and everyone else I know.

My one big goal for 2008 was to graduate. Happily, I did just that. I still can't believe I have a title other than "Miss" now. I still can't believe I finally accomplished something I've wanted since I was 14.

If you had told me at the beginning of 2008 that I would not only graduate, I would also end up in fucking ENGLAND, I would have told you to take your crazy talk elsewhere.

Resolutions for 2009- this is tough. There's a pretty big list of possible resolutions. I think I should limit the list to three to avoid feeling pressured and scattered.

1. Get involved in activities and make some friends. Or at least acquaintances, since making real friends is a very long, involved process for me. Get a circle of people to do stuff with- that's what I want at the very least.

2. Do some traveling. This means doing some walking/ camping in the UK, as well as traveling to the Continent.

3. Clean up my lifestyle. I think I already live a fairly healthy life- I do a lot of walking, I generally limit my alcohol consumption, and I eat a fair amount of vegetables. But, I would like to exercise more (may take up belly dancing again), eat more organic meat and vegetables, and more whole grains. Kind of like tidy up the edges of my lifestyle.

Okay, and a fourth, because I'm an overachiever- do more creative endeavors. Do more writing (I'm not in school anymore, so I have no excuse!), do more sewing, do some painting (which I haven't done in YEARS).

Finally, I would like to thank all of my wonderful friends, scattered all over the place. I am so very thankful, and feel so truly blessed to have you in my life, in whatever fashion that is. One thing 2008 taught me is that I really do have some of the loveliest people in the history of everything lovely in my life. And I can't say thank you enough.

Love,
Kat

Happy New Year Kat!

We missed you yesterday, but you were there in spirit.

I can't wait to get over there and help you with resolution #2.
