Saturday's trip to the fabric store was okay. I got the contrasting fabric, buttons and zipper for one dress. I didn't end up getting the fabric for a second dress. I did get some awesome cherry print fabric and some embroidered linen from the clearance table. I'm going to make kitchen stuff.
They also had some striped shirting that I liked, but couldn't figure out what in hell I would do with it. Until last night, when I decided I wanted to make a full-sized apron since where do I spill most on myself when I'm cooking? My chest. The part not covered by my patchwork apron.
I've finished Anne of Green Gables and am reading Anne of Avonlea at the moment. Between the Anne books and Miss Inertia, my taste in fabric has flip-flopped. I'm usually a solid color kind of gal, but while at JoAnn's on Saturday, most of what I was drawn to was calicos and country prints. Right now, all I want to do is move to Prince Edward Island, wear cute calico dresses, bake cupcakes, garden, sew and write.
One can always hope.
